World Suicide Prevention Day
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) was established in 2003 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO). The 10th of September each year focuses attention on the issue, reduces stigma and raises awareness among organizations, government, and the public, giving a singular message that suicide can be prevented. First Day of Bisexual Awareness Week
Bisexual Awareness Week, also known as #BiWeek, is an annual celebration which runs from September 16 through the 23rd, first celebrated in 2014. It is an extension of Celebrate Bisexuality Day, held annually on September 23. National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day
September 18 is National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day (NHAAD). NHAAD brings attention to issues related to HIV among older Americans, including new infections among older adults and adults over 50 aging with HIV. For more information see cdc.gov/hiv/library/awareness/nhaad.html.
